Hendre Isaf Basecamp

Name:  Hendre Isaf
Location:  Betws-y-Coed, Conwy

Location Map

The Hendre Isaf basecamp is situated about five miles to the east of Betws-y-Coed in North Wales and has spectacular views over the Snowdonia National Park.

The accommodation is spacious and is in a converted set of 400 year old farm buildings.

The centre is very well equipped and a very pleasant place to stay.

The whole building is centrally heated and is always warm, with an endless supply of hot water for showers and washing.

It has an open plan kitchen, dining/activity area, which is well laid out.

There is a lounge area in which to relax and reflect on the days work.

Comfortable sofas and chairs make this a great area in which to sit and chat to other members of the group.

The bedrooms are on two levels with the mens dormitory on the ground floor and the ladies dormitory above it.

There are bunkbeds for about two dozen people. Each dormitory has its own set of toilets, washing facilities, and showers.

There is also a very large drying room with sinks etc. for any clothes washing or drying.

The kitchen facilities include a modern stove, a microwave oven, fridge/freezer and a large collection of equipment.

There is also a large food storage area adjacent to the kitchen.

This is a very large and well equipped basecamp.

The spaciousness and spectacular views make this a basecamp well worth re-visiting.

My Star Rating for this basecamp  (10 is the Best)
