| The Dalehead basecamp is a renovated gritstone

The basecamp is very spacious with a large education
room, which is also used as a dining room.
Heating is by electric storage heaters plus an enormous open fireplace in the sitting room. The endless supply of logs ensure that this is a very warm and welcoming place to relax. |
| The well equipped kitchen has a superb six-ring gas
hob and an enormous gas oven.
There are plenty of cooking utensils and everything is very clean and well looked after. The large number of work surfaces in the kitchen ensures that catering for large numbers is very easy. |

Upstairs there are three dormitories with
comfortable wooden bunk beds. In total there are beds for twenty people.
Pillows are not provided at this basecamp and need to be taken by each volunteer. Both the ladies and gents toilets are downstairs, with a couple of washbasins and one electric heated shower in each. |
The location of this basecamp make's this a very special place to stay. A stream runs past the back of the cottage and sheep graze all around in the adjacent fields. The views from the cottage are stunning and show the Dark Peak at it's very best. |
