CARTOON: Thundarr The Barbarian EPISODE: Challenge Of The Wizards

THE PLOT: The show begins with Thundarr, Ookla and Ariel galloping through what used to be the Las Vegas Strip. Immediately they note that it seems inhabited but no one is around. Then out of nowhere a bunch of orbs attack. The group do their best to defend themselves but end up getting captured by the orb�s tractor beams.
They are taking to an old casino which is inhabited by a wizard named Sholo. They are told by Sholo, and his three wizard cohorts, that they are to be his representative in the race for the Helmet Of Power. Thundarr and company refuse but Sholo reveals he has a batch of humans he will kill if they do not. Thundarr and company agree to race against the other wizard�s competitors which consists of a giant mechanical scorpion, stingray and a spiked wheel.
"RAAAAARARARARA!!!" (Translation: Jackpot! Now point me to the nearest Mok whorehouse...)
The race starts and Thundarr�s group first encounters the scorpion. They battle off the scorpion but the chaos wakes a creature called a grizzly snake. The scorpion continues to race while Thundarr dispatches the grizzly snake into a canyon. All the while, Sholo�s group monitors the action inside the casino.
Thundarr�s group battles the giant wheel and the stingray avoiding their tricks along the way. Thundarr�s group finds an old dune buggy which they use to get to their final destination. The final battle takes place in the remnants of the Hoover Dam where the Helmet Of Power awaits. Thundarr and company fend off the other racers and win the Helmet.
The group bring back the Helmet Of Power to Sholo who betrays them and uses the Helmet for his own gain. He takes Thundarr�s sword and has his orbs escort them to his roof prison. Thundarr�s group fight the orbs and make their escape.
"LORDS OF LIGHT! We have to hurry! Tinker, Mark and Debbie are just over that hill and really, really want their car back!
They bust in on Sholo who fights them off with the help of the Helmet. Thundarr however throws a bag of silver coins which Sholo is unable to block. Ariel turns two of the coins into huge versions of themselves which Thundarr throws at Sholo. The Helmet Of Power is knocked off and Thundarr destroys it with his sword. Sholo picks up the damaged Helmet and tries to use it. This vanquishes him into a slot machine thus freeing the prisoners.
POST APOCOLYPTIC TOURIST SITE OF THE SHOW
Las Vegas: Whatever happens there...um...nobody is really going to care about either way in a post apocolyptic future apparently.
