| THE PLOT: The episode begins at The Max where Zack informs us that its midterm week for Geometry. He hooks up with Screech and Jessie who happens to be drinking coffee while studying. Jessie admits to drinking a lot of coffee to stay awake to study for the mid terms. She feels shell never get into Stanford if she doesnt make the grade. Slater arrives and starts to pick on Jessie.
Minutes later, Lisa and Kelly drop some money into the jukebox and play Im So Excited by the Pointer Sisters. They join Jessie and they all start to sing along with the tune. Zack mentions that his dad knows a record executive who would dig them. The next day in class, everyone gets their exams back and Mr. Dewey announces that Jessie received a C on a quiz. Jessie is devastated by this and Slater agrees to hook up with her after school to study. Meanwhile Zack and Screech put a plan into motion to get their girls on tape. Basically, Screech dresses up like a cleaning lady and tricks the girls into singing in the locker room. Later at night Zack arrives during Slater and Jessies study session. He boasts about how the record executive enjoyed the tape. Jessie confronts him about the tape and Zack confesses about Screech in the locker room. After Zack leaves, Jessie shows Slater a bottle of caffeine pills that helps her stay awake. Slater is mildly upset about this and tells her to stay off them. However, after he leaves, Jessie pops a few pills. The next day, Jessie talks with Mr. Belding about her geometry problems. He tells her to hang in there and try the best. During the conversation, Jessie has a fantasy about attending the same college as Zack which is basically a surfer school. Jump cut to Zack telling the ladies at school about setting up a music video for the record executive. Zack dubs the threesome Hot Sundae and goes forward with the music video. The video consists of the girls bouncing around in workout clothing. Turns out the record company loved the video and want to see them perform live. However, Slater discovers the caffeine pills in Jessies backpack. He tells her to get off the pills one more time and Jessie tells him off. The midterm comes and the jittery Jessie isnt quite acting like herself. Jessie finishes the test before everyone else and after class Slater approaches Zack about Jessies addiction. Zack shrugs off Slater not believing a word he says. The girls, Zack and Screech hook up at the diner later to rehearse which sees Jessie still acting odd. Later that evening Zack goes into Jessies room to get her ready for the big number. Jessie, passed out on the bed, wakes up in utter confusion. She yells at Zack about not having any time to herself. She runs over to take some of her pills and Zack stops her. She starts to cry out Im So Excited and eventually breaks down in Zacks arms. Meanwhile at the diner, Screech fills in for the fallen Jessie quite unsuccessfully. After the number, they all join up with Jessie who is bed ridden. She tells them in so many words she is seeking help for her addiction. Jessie and Zack make up with Slater and the show ends. |

| TOP CHANNEL CHANGING MOMENTS
1.) Hello everyone, my name is The DarkSider and I too am a caffeine addict. It all started at work one day when I was driving by a Dunkin Donuts. I ordered a small with creme and extra sugar. Soon after, I found myself going there every day for my addiction. I just couldnt tear myself from the rich flavor of that fine bean from Columbia. Then my addiction turned for the worse when the hallucinations started. A man by the name of Juan Valdez would show up with his donkey to my window. Then it all went down hill when I went to Las Vegas to become a Showgirl... 2.) The music video the girls starred in was somehow less sexy than the Billy Squier video where he runs around an apartment in tight clothing. 3.) Screech...nothing more to add to that... 4.) Mr. Belding always disturbed me with his teacher student interaction. Perhaps Jessie didnt need to pop the pills to get an A. Then again, maybe Belding was more into Zack. 5.) Im glad to know Mr. Dewey has no problem publicly announcing what grades his students received on their quiz. Good thing he doesnt work in a clinic somewhere. |
