TELEVISION SHOW: Baywatch

EPISODE:
Dead Of Summer

REVIEWED BY: The DarkSider 11/18/07
BRIEF PLOT OVERVIEW:  The show starts off with CJ on a boat which is moving by itself.  She tries to stop it but it eventually ends up exploding when it hits the pier.  CJ wakes up and we find out that it was only a nightmare.

That morning at the beach, security is being planned because the governor is going to be making a speech there.  Mitch and Garner get roped into helping by the governors security man Deets.  Mitch informs CJ that she is going to be patrolling via boat for the governors arrival.  CJ reluctantly agrees to do the task.   Meanwhile, a few bad guys are testing some explosives out on the ocean.  Their leader is a rather big guy who has a vendetta against the governor.

The day of the governors visit, Deets instructs Mitch that all boats must stay away from the pier.  After a guest band performs through a brief music montage, the leader of the bad guys arrives on the dock.  He checks in with his accomplices who later trick CJ into thinking they are in distress.  They successfully knock CJ out via chloroform, tie her to the boat and wire it with explosives.

Garner quickly recognizes the gang leader as the twin of an ex death row convict.  Apparently  the governor didnt grant his brother a stay of execution and he is out for revenge. Regardless of this, the governor arrives to make his speech and Mitch radios in to CJ who doesnt respond.  Mitch jumps on a jet ski and rides out to another patrol boat.  They spot CJs boat driving recklessly towards the pier.

Back at the beach, Garner sees the gang leader with a remote control for the explosives.  He takes after him and ends up fighting under a dock.  Meanwhile, Mitch is able to get on CJs boat but quickly finds out it is under control of the gang leader.  He is able to move the boats motors to steer it out of the piers way.  However, the gang leader struggles free from Garner long enough to blow up the boat.  It turns out that  Mitch and CJ got off the boat just in time.  The show ends with all the bad guys arrested and CJ safe.
The "Just Go With It" Moment Of The Show
A common start of a wet dream for teenagers in the mid 90s.
"Hey buddy, do you happen to remember if it was the blue or red wire to avoid?" "Mitch, for the last time my chest is NOT a floatation device so swim your g*damn self to shore."
THE ANTI-DARWIN AWARD FOR MOST USELESS RESCUE
"Miss stop fooling around, I have places other to be than this tide pool."
MOST ANNOYING MUSIC MONTAGE
I'm assuming they had a very long extension cord for the synthesizer.
