HISTORY.

• 2.6.40: formed from Detaşamentul Mixt Grăniceresc (formed in 15.2.40)
• 20.10.40: transformed in Brigada 2 Mixtă Gardă.

• 15.3.42: reestablished from Brigada 2 Mixtă Gardă.

• 1.5.43: merged with Divizia 18 Infanterie as Divizia 18 Munte. The regiments were merged as follows:
  • Reg. 2 Grăniceresc with Reg. 92 Infanterie to form the new Reg. 92 Infanterie Grăniceresc (or Grup 92 Vânători Munte);
  • Reg. 3 Grăniceresc with Reg. 90 Infanterie to form the new Reg. 90 Infanterie Grăniceresc (or Grup 90 Vânători Munte);
  • Reg. 4 Grăniceresc with Reg. 18 Infanterie to form the new Reg. 18 Infanterie Grăniceresc (or Grup 18 Vânători Munte);
