watch a video of a duck being hit by a car … while looking at the bra … while I ran my hand over
the bra…” And who knows? I may even go see a movie.
In the same issue, how reasons (in different forms) play, including the case of
abortion: proponents often rely on a convention (choice) and a technical account (concerning
first-trimester viability of fetus); opponents say, a life created and then abruptly terminated
(a story). By [Charles] Tilly’s logic, abortion proponents who want to engage their critics
will have to become better storytellers
