So, you are interested in
the history of LeRoy and surrounding areas. Whether you are new to
our community, have been a long-time resident, or are just passing through,
we have materials that will interest you and bring you to a greater appreciation
of the City of LeRoy. Most of these materials cannot be checked out,
but we think you'll find that our library is a cozy and ideal place to
remember or learn about the past.
McLean County Histories
The library has a number
of "McLean County Histories" by which you can learn about the early days
of LeRoy, Bloomington, Normal, and other such communities in McLean County.

Yearbooks
If you grew up in LeRoy
or know anybody who did, you might be interested in our collection of LeRoy
High School Yearbooks. Feel free to come in and reminisce about the
good ole' days as you browse through yearbooks Preserving memories as far
back as 1916.
(the 1916 yearbook has
a list of alumni as far back as the class of 1878). We have every
LeRoy High School Yearbook from 1920 through 2003 except 1986, 1988, and
1991. If anyone has a yearbook from these years that they would be
willing to donate to the library, we would be VERY EXCITED.

We have the most comprehensive records
of Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy.
Souvenir Booklet
Also available is a free
souvenir booklet containing the crumbaugh story, the library's history,
and pictures. Ask about it!
Scrapbooks
Finally, we have numerous
scrapbooks covering different areas of local history. From the history
of the churches in LeRoy to various storms this town has survived, we surely
have something that would interest you. Our scrapbooks have been
prepared by the library staff, the historical society, and volunteers from
