Taste of Christmas
A Growing Tradition

Gingerbread Houses and More!

Well, the members of the LeRoy and surrounding communities really outdid themselves this time.  2003 was our third year of collecting gingerbread houses from young and old alike, and we were overwhelmed with the response!

Everyone from LeRoy girl scout troups, #167 and #134 to school organizations, to grandparents and grandchildren rolled up their sleeves and put their creative talents to work with the sweet and sugary treats of gingerbread and icing!  We hope you got to come and browse through the results, but, if not, look at these pictures!

Have you visited LeRoy yet?  Well, when you do, see how accurate these recreations of our favorite LeRoy buildings are.  We're pretty proud of the young people who built these - Christmas 2002.

Gingerbread Houses!
We chose Gingerbread Houses as our theme for Taste of Christmas this year, and the response from the community was outstanding!  During the month of December, the library was filled wtih the sweet smell of the gumdrop-sidewalks, licorice housetops, and candycane sleigh runners.  Thank you to everyone who participated!

We also have a lot of fun decorating the library for Christmas!

The children's section is the most festive section of all!
We think it is one of the most cozy places in town - especially during the holidays!

Our patrons enjoy all of our Christmas trimmings during the holdiay season.

Merry Christmas!

Everyone have a Happy New Year the whole year through!
