Chapter two:

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of someone singing. I got up and walked into the kitchen and found Orlando singing and making pancakes. “Ummm. Something smells good.” I said coming down the three steps that led up to the hallway.

“Good Morning, Love.” He said flipping a pancake.

“You sing very good.” I said sitting down at the bar that was a crossed from the oven.

“Naw.” Orlando said smiling, “I hope you like pancakes cause I made plenty.”

“I love them.”

“Good.”

“Good morning.” Elijah said coming down the stairs. He was fully dressed and looked like he just had a shower.

“Morning.” I said yawning.

“Still sleepy?” He asked me as he sat next to me.

“Just a little. I woke to someone sing.” I glared at Orlando.

“Hey…. you just said I sang good.” He said pouting

“You do. Just not a seven in the morning.” I said laughing.

“You have an unusual name.” Elijah stated out of the blue.

“Thanks.” I said smiling, “I was born on the first day of winter so my mom named me Winter.”

“That’s cool.” He said gazed into my eyes.

“Breakfast is ready.” Orlando said making Elijah looked away.

“Shall we go?” Elijah asked putting out his elbow for me.

“Yes we shall.” I said taking his elbow and we walked in to the nook.

We eat breakfast in silence. After we were done, I started to clean of the table.
“You don’t have to do that.” Orlando said, “Elijah can do it.”

“Thanks a lot.” Elijah said throwing a piece of napkin at Orlando, “Why don’t you do it?”

“Cause I have a date.” Orlando said standing up.

“A date? You just got here yesterday an you already have a date?” Elijah asked

“Yea! There was a lot to do in those four hours I waited.” Orlando walked out of the room to the door.

“I said I was sorry! Gosh!” Elijah rolled his blue eyes and screamed, but Orlando was already out the door.

“I am going to go get a shower.” I said walking back from in the kitchen.

“Ok…..but I don’t think I have any clothes you can wear.” Elijah said standing up.

“That’s ok…..I can just put on the clothes I wore yesterday and then change when I get home…….If I get home.” I said realizing I didn’t know how to get to the base that my uncle lived on. He and my Dad were both in the Military. I think the name was George Air Force Base.

“We will find some way to get you there.” Elijah reassured me.

“Do you know where George Air Force Base is?” I asked

“Yea! I went to an air show there. I know exactly were it is at.” Elijah said

“Good. They live on base and I am sure I can get to him there. Now, were is your bathroom?” I asked. Looks like things were turning around.

“Right this way.” Elijah smirked and took my hand and led me to the bathroom.

I blushed. ‘What is he doing…..all he has to do is tell me where it is.’

He led me up the three steps that led to the hallway. Then he turned into a bedroom. Which I guessed was his. He motioned for me to sit on the bed. I did and he let go of my hand and stared into my eyes for a while before turning to leave the room. He returned shortly holding my clothes in his hand. I smiled and took them from him. “Thanks.” I said.

“No Problem.” He said, “Come here and I will show you how to work the shower. It is sorta of tricky.” I got up and followed him into the bathroom. It was sorta small. Hardly enough room for both of us to stand in it.

Elijah reached over and turned the shower on. “Hot or Cold?” He asked me.

“Um…. Medium.” I answered smiling slightly.

“Ok.” He finished with the shower and turned toward a cabinet. “Here is a towel.” He said reaching in a getting one out. He handed it to me. Our hands touched slightly and I felt a rush of something. I guessed Elijah must have felt it to because we both just stood there staring into each other eyes. ‘His eyes, Gosh. When he looks at you like that it feels I like he is looking straight at your soul.’ I thought. He walked slowly closer and closer to me. Our faces were just inches apart. I could feel his breath on my lips. Suddenly the phone rang and Elijah stepped back. “I better go get that.” He mumbled as he walked past me.
“Yea.” I said and shut the door to take my shower.

A/N: not very long. Sorry. Hope you like.
