The girls left Greece in good spirits at the end of August. They’d met Olympians, they’d met hot guys, and they had had some girls’ nights which resulted in them becoming closer as a unit.

Even though, at times, they all annoyed one another, they were really very good friends. Especially when Ella and Juliet started teaching Ava useless rock music trivia and Ava had vowed to never listen to another Backstreet Boys record ever again.

Juliet and Aaron had exchanged phone numbers, and planned to see each other when Aaron came home for Spring Break and other such vacations. They talked quite often…so much so that Juliet’s mother was complaining about the phone bill. Juliet, however, didn’t care for Aaron told her he’d snuck a box of free condoms home with him.

Even though Ella and Ava didn’t make any love connections, Ava had a stocking full of phone numbers of Greek men she had met at various clubs. Whether or not she used them was another story altogether.

Ella saw Michael once more at the Closing Ceremonies and they had exchanged email address so they could keep in touch. Despite Ava’s insistences of the opposite, they were just friends.

Ava was still trying to understand the concept of having Aaron Peirsol in your bed and not doing anything about it.

Juliet’s biggest dream was to, one day, have Ava shut up about it.
