Elijah recovered and entered himself in to a rehab clinic. The press got wind of it and had a field day. Lucky for him he was done with the Lord of the Rings and didn't have any projects to worry about. Crystal visited him every weekend. She was visiting him today. She walked into the guest area and she spotted him. He stood and smiled.

"Hello." Elijah said, "How are you doing?"

"I'm fine, how have you been?" Things were no longer tense between Crystal and Elijah. He wasn't the same person when he wasn't doing drugs. He was easy going and kind.

"I've been living. Things are getting easier. I know I'll never touch drugs again." Elijah jammed his hands in his pockets and sighed, "I need some air walk with me?"

"Yeah, ok." They walked outside of the building that had become Elijah's new life.

"I still love you." Elijah said suddenly.

"I know." Crystal didn't want to talk about this right now. She had continued seeing Billy after Elijah checked himself in to rehab. They had slept together the night that Elijah had overdosed. It was a sweet love that Billy and Crystal had. Billy was fun, loving, loud and she felt complete around him. With Elijah it didn't feel that way. Crystal remembered that night she gave herself to Billy.

"Are you sure?" Billy asked rubbing her arm.

"I've never been surer of anything in my life." Crystal answered and kissed him. Afterwards they laid together in silence. Crystal started crying.

"Don't cry." Billy said softly.

"I feel like I cheated on Elijah." Crystal explained. "But I love you."

"It was over anyway Crystal. Elijah doesn't deserve you. Not after what he did to you." Billy couldn't believe that Elijah gave this up. "I love you to by the way."

"Billy that was my first time." Crystal admitted.

"It was?" Billy was shocked. "Not even with Elijah?"

"Not even with him." Crystal started crying again and Billy pulled her close and wiped her tears away.

"Crystal? Did you hear me?" Elijah looked at her.

"Um no. Sorry I spaced out." Crystal looked away from Elijah's gaze.

"I said I love you. I hope you can forgive me for the stupid things I've done and give me a second chance." Elijah grabbed her hand and waited for an answer.

"Elijah, I don't think I can give you a second chance. I forgive you, but I don't want to be with you. I'm with someone else." Crystal left out the part about someone else being Billy, Elijah didn't need to know that yet. Elijah dropped her hand and he looked down.

"Then what am I doing this for?" Elijah asked softly.

"Doing what?" Crystal asked.

"Going to rehab. Getting better. There's no point. I'm trying to get better, but it doesn't matter does it? Billy gets you no matter what I do. It is Billy isn't it?" Elijah waited for answer and when Crystal didn't give one he walked off. "Goodbye Crystal. I love you, and I always will." Crystal watched him walk away. It felt like he was tearing her heart out. But she knew she didn't love him.

Later that evening Dom called Billy. "BILLY?!" Dom screamed in the phone. "He's dead."

Billy was in the middle of cooking dinner and he dropped the pan of water. "Who? Whose dead?"

"Elijah. He hung himself." Dom was still screaming.

"No! Please no." Billy felt the panic rise in his throat. "How? He was in rehab." He looked at Crystal who was standing in the doorway. All the color had drained out of her face.

"He checked himself out. He went home and I went over there to see how he was and he was hanging...." Dom let out a sob. "I found him. He was hanging_"

"Oh god." Billy said. "Dom are you ok?"

"Billy whats going on?" Crystal was nearing hysterics.

"Elijah is dead." Billy said flatly.

"No, he can't be. I just saw him today. No, no, no." Crystal let the panic take over. She slid down the wall in the kitchen and brought her legs up to her chin.

"Dom, I got to go. Come over here." Billy said.

"I will as soon as the police are done with me. Tell Crystal that in the note he said it wasn't her fault, and that he loved her and this wasn't her fault." Dom said.

"I will. Bye." Billy said. He slid down the wall and held his new girlfriend. He had lost a best friend and gained a girl friend. Somehow Billy wondered if Crystal was worth it. As they sat there by the wall crying and holding each other Billy knew the answer. She was worth it.
