The twins are seven year and two month old today. Claire and her mom had breakfast with the twins in the morning. They left before the twins left for school. The twins went to school as usual. They had abacus and piano class. Claire and her mom didn't need to stay with us anymore. Their home remodeling was done.

The twins went to school as usual. Terence came over to our home. His nanny was on vacation, his mom ran out of vacation and his dad needed to take care of his crashed car. So mommy babysat Terence for a day.Terence went along when mommy picked up the twins from school. His dad picked him up before the twins went to ice skating. Mommy took them to the rink an hour early to practice before the lesson. Today, they learned to skate backward.
The twins played some card game, surfed the Internet. They finished their homework after dinner. One of their home work assignment was about what kind of profession they want to do when they grow up. They were asked to write down why and what the daily tasks were.
Joanne wrote she wanted to be a scientist who studies insects because insects are yucky and gross but fun. She would need to catch some insect with a net and then look at them under a microscope. Daddy told her that kind of scientist is called entomologist.
Jasmine couldn't make up her mind. Daddy suggested doctor, dentist, astronaut, artist, movie star, ballerina, President of the United States etc. None of the choice interested her. Suddenly she said she liked to work in the store. Daddy asked what kind of job. She said she wanted to collect money, i.e. the cashier. The reason? She could earn money. Daddy told her that the President of the United States makes more money than a cashier. Jasmine said she did not want people to hate her. She also commented that if Kerry won the election, he would stop the war. Daddy was surprised where she got all these political opinions, probably by watching news on TV.

The twins went to school as usual. Jasmine told mommy that she was the first one in her class to finish the in-class assignment. Hopefully, accuracy was not compromised for speed.

The US Navy's Pacific 7th Fleet visits the Bay Area every year around this time. It is the fleet week this weekend. The Navy's Blue Angels demonstration team is not coming this year. The Canadian Snowbirds are performing to the crowd this year. Mommy said the twins and she watched the airshow before and she was not going to do it again. When she was so determined, we didn't tell the twins about the airshow this year. The twins woke up at 9am in the morning. They came to our bedroom trying to wake us. Mommy asked them to either go play on their own or go back to bed. They went back to bed and they came back at 1pm. We all slept the morning away.
We went out to lunch at the food court of a supermarket. Daddy bumped in his college classmate Annie. We have not seen them since our wedding 9 years ago. We exchanged telephone numbers so that we could get together later.
We rushed to Karyssa's birthday party at the ice skating rink. Daddy and mommy also went onto the ice to skate along with the kids. After the skating session, the party moved to a nearby Fresh Choice buffet. The kids and some adults stay in the party. Most adults departed to find something else to do. The kids spent an hour eating and drinking whatever they wanted in the buffet. Then Karyssa cut the birthday cake. After the birthday cake, the kids ran outside into the courtyard just outside of the restaurant to play tag. They were all screaming in joy. It was obvious that Karyssa had a happy birthday, and all other kids enjoy it too.
After we said goodbye, we went to a Korean restaurant to meet Claire's family. We had a full dinner, even the twins ate something despite they just finished a buffet less than two hours ago. After dinner, we went back home and Claire's family joined us for some fruit and TV. The kids ran upstairs and played on their own. The twins shows Claire how to do headstand. They could do it leaning on the wall. But when they tried to do it free-standing, they kept tumbling down. They laughed hard every time they fell.
Mommy and Claire's mom watched some drama series on DVD. Daddy and Claire's dad scanned several Bruce Lee's movie to look for the fighting scenes. The kids ran downstairs and they had a good laugh when they saw the fighters falling and tumbling. We sent them away because of the violence. Joanne went to bed on her own. Jasmine and Claire ended up asleep on the sofa. Daddy carried Jasmine upstairs to her bed when the guest left.
Sunday, Oct 10, 2004 (7y+2m+4d)
It was still part of the Fleet week. That was why we stayed home all day away from the crowd and the airshow.Joanne said she had a sore throat. Jasmine said, "Joanni isi sicki." Daddy told them that many kids played language games like pig-Latin or ubbi-dubbi. Some people could even speak backwards in syllables or in backward in spelling. The twins didn't believe daddy.
In the afternoon, after the twins finished their homework, they read Calvin and Hobbes. They laughed and shared their favorite comic strips. Jasmine showed daddy how to do an origami camera which she learned from Annette. Daddy dug up some Origami book from the book shelf. Joanne started doing origami with daddy's help. Jasmine was obsessed with her paper cameras, she made close to 30 of them.
They were playing paper-rock-scissors. I showed them how they could play the same game by doing hunter-shotgun-tiger instead. Due to the exaggerated gestures, they could play the game from a far distance from each other. They were giggling and laughing all the way while doing the funny gestures.
After dinner, they played volleyball with a beach ball in our bedroom. Our room had a vaulted ceiling which allowed them to hit the ball higher. When daddy came upstairs to check them, they dragged daddy into the game of "monkey in the middle." When they were the monkey, daddy made some false moves to divert their attention before throw the ball a different way. They loved it and called daddy the best tricker. Daddy wanted to take a rest in bed when the kids continued their play. Daddy fell asleep before they left the room.
Monday, Oct 11, 2004 (7y+2m+5d)
The twins went to school as usual. In the evening, Joanne asked daddy if we had any origami book for paper airplanes because she learned to make an airplane from her classmates and she wanted more. Daddy went into the garage to dig up some packed boxes from our move more than two years ago. During the treasure hunt, daddy found more books on origami and paper airplane. Daddy also found his sketch book from an art class in college days. Daddy showed the twins the drawings that daddy did two decades ago. The twins admired how good the drawing were. Jasmine wanted daddy to re-do one of the drawing of a stuff animal bunny for her. Instead of charcoal, the new drawing was done in purple and pink color pencil. When daddy told them that the drawing was a figure drawing because it was based on a stuffed animal, Joanne ran upstairs immediately and fetched her Bearemy bear. She wanted a drawing of Bearemy sitting on her toy sofa and she wanted the name written in cursive too. The twins kept saying how good daddy was. Kids are easily impressed. So if you have not impressed anyone lately, you can raise a kid and then show them something that they cannot do yet. For example, the twins wanted daddy to write everything for them in cursive because they could not do it well yet.

The twins went to school as usual.Daddy's laptop computer got a bad contact at the power socket. It had trouble recharging the battery every time the contact came loose. Daddy was busy finding a fix for it. The twins were busy on their homework.
Wednesday, Oct 13, 2004 (7y+2m+7d)
The twins went to school as usual. They have abacus and piano class after school.Jasmine asked what the orange fruits were on the table. When daddy told her those were Fuyu persimmon, she said she was not interested to try it. After dinner, I peeled some. The twins loved it so much that they kept asking for more. Joanne liked the ripen ones because they were sweeter. Jasmine liked the crunchy ones better.
Thursday, Oct 14, 2004 (7y+2m+8d)
The twins went to school as usual. The twins went to ice skating lesson after school. We went to dinner with Tiffany's family at Benihana.
Friday, Oct 15, 2004 (7y+2m+9d)
The twins went to school as usual. Benjamin came to our house to play after school. The twins told daddy that Ben came to our house three times this week.
Saturday, Oct 16, 2004 (7y+2m+10d)
One of the mommy gave mommy three free tickets to the GreatAmerica amusement park. Mommy also asked Terence to go too because their family had the season passes. When mommy got to the parking lot, they saw two families of the twins' classmates were there. Six girls and Terence had a great time at the amusement park when the park was not too crowded in the morning. The crowd moved in after lunchtime. The kids were tired of waiting in line. Mommy suggested the group to come to our backyard to play. Sonya's dad Richard and Jenna's dad Sam came too. The kids played in the backyard and inside the house for a while. They then picked some DVDs to watch. Most kids agreed on "Home on the Range", but the twins played "Barbie As The Princess and the Pauper" in another room. The two dads each received a phone call and they pulled the kids off the TV and left early. Terence and his mom stayed. Terence's dad joined us for dinner later in the evening too. Terence even took a shower and shampoo before leaving. The kids tumbled around the lawn in the afternoon and they later found that the neighbor's cat pooped on our lawn. So every kid wanted to clean up real good tonight.
Sunday, Oct 17, 2004 (7y+2m+11d)
It was a rainy day. It was the first sign of the Californian rainy season. We went out to lunch with grandma Chui. We returned home and sent the twins to their homework. Daddy played Kenny G's album on the stereo. The twins said, "Oh! I can't breath!", "I am fainting!" I asked the twins what happened. They said it was because of daddy and mommy's wedding songs. The twins recognized that the music that we were playing was the same as that on our wedding video that they saw few weeks ago. The title of the album? Believe it or not, it was "Breathless".
Monday, Oct 18, 2004 (7y+2m+12d)
The twins went to school as usual. Mommy gave the twins a dictation test after dinner. The twins were able to write difficult Chinese characters. I was amazed how much Chinese they learned in a little more than 2 years. Their English dictation were perfect too. Actually the public school expectation was very low in comparison to the spelling and reading ability in the Challenger School. We resumed bedtime story after a long break. Daddy picked a Chinese classic novel "Journey to the West" about the Monkey King. The ancient Chinese text in the original novel was very hard to understand. Our edition was a translation into modern Chinese. The twins told daddy not to bother with reading the text in Mandarin. They said daddy's Mandarin would be so bad that they would not understand. They told daddy to read in Cantonese. I figured it would be a good opportunity to give them more exposure to Cantonese. We finished the first chapter tonight, 71 more to go. We read about the birth of the monkey and how he became the king of the monkeys. The twins said it was an interesting story. Of course, what could be more amazing than a monkey born out of a rock?
Tuesday, Oct 19, 2004 (7y+2m+13d)
The twins went to school as usual. It was pouring rain today. The rainy season really started with floods and power failure in many places.Nicholas' family came to our house in after school. The kids did their homework together.
They had the art class in late afternoon. The twins were surprised when daddy picked up the twins from the art school.
The twins did some origami before bedtime. Daddy showed them how to make a paper box. They refused to stop until they had made several of them. The delay cut into their story time. We only did half a chapter of the monkey kind story tonight. We read about how the monkey king learned his magic and tricks from the Buddha. In the middle of a paragraph, Joanne interrupted. She said, "I don't understand a word you said. My Cantonese is not that good." Daddy went over the paragraph one more time in English translation.
Wednesday, Oct 20, 2004 (7y+2m+14d)
The twins went to school as usual. I asked the twins to tell a story. Jasmine said,
"I and Joanne went to Mrs. Montgomery's room. And I saw Miss Ma's umbrella and Joanne asked Mrs. Montgomery for the umbrella and told her it was Ms. Ma's umbrella. And Joanne gave the umbrella to me, so I could give it back to Ms. Ma. I gave it to Ms. Ma. She said "Thank you! Where did you find this?" And I said, "I found it in Mrs Montgomery's room." When Ms. Ma got it back, she wanted me to trade umbrella with her. I said "No, Thanks. Your umbrella is too big for me."Joanne wanted to interrupt Jasmine. When daddy asked her to wait for her turn, she fetched a piece of paper and wrote down her own version of the story.
(verbatim with misspellings and all the "and"s that made up one big sentence.)
"At school when I left Mrs. Montgomery keep asking who's umbrella is this and everybody said: "No, it not mine." and she put it back and Jasmine said its miss Ma's umbrella and I told Mrs Montgomery is Miss Ma's and Mrs. Montgomery gave me her umbrella and I gave Jasmine it and she return is to Miss ma and Miss Ma said to Jasmine, "Can I trade umbrellas with you?" and Jasmine said no because is to big."The twins took to long to finish homework. It was late when they went to bed. Bed time story was canceled.
Thursday, Oct 21, 2004 (7y+2m+15d)
The twins went to school as usual. They went to ice skating lesson in the afternoon.Daddy's college friend Oscar came from New York. They arrived at round 10pm. The twins climbed up from bed to greet our guests. They still remembered them from our last trip to New York.
Friday, Oct 22, 2004 (7y+2m+16d)
The twins went to school as usual. Our guests went to visit their cousin in South San Francisco They didn't return until late evening.
Saturday, Oct 23, 2004 (7y+2m+17d)
After we got up, Oscar went to Stanford University to visit one of his ex-coworker who had become a professor at Stanford. His wife followed us to have a brunch. The twins picked the pancake house because they missed the pancake. Shortly after we sat down, daddy's boss came in with her two sons. The twins said they wanted to meet daddy's boss. We said hi and the twins were very shy. After brunch, we dropped off mommy and Sabrina at Santana Row. We went to Valleyfair mall instead. The twins wanted to visit build-a-bear to buy some outfit for their stuff bears. They also wanted to stop by the Disney's store to look around. The Disney store had a few new Halloween costumes including the one from the upcoming movie "Incredibles". But nothing caught their eyes. They walked around the store for about two minutes and told daddy they were ready to go.
At Build-a-Bear, Jasmine wanted daddy to buy the Cinderella costume for Fluffy so that Fluffy's costume will match hers. Joanne tried to look for the Snow While costume for Bearemy, but it was sold out. After we bought some drinks for the twins, we moved to the new LEGO store. The twins and daddy played with LEGO blocks in the store until mommy and Sabrina came to meet us.
We left the mall and went grocery shopping. We returned home, mommy and Sabrina prepared dinner. At 7pm, daddy's ex-classmate from college arrived. Annie and daddy went to same department. Albert and Oscar went to Chemistry and Chemical Engineering respectively. I thought they would have met each other on campus. It turned out that they didn't remember each other though all of us went to the same grad school. In any case, we enjoyed a hotpot dinner. We circled around the table and chatted after dinner. Annie and Albert's two year of Welford was a very cheerful kid. He played on his own. He particularly enjoyed giving passionate hugs to Oscar and me. He found the 3-D eyeglasses the twins got from build-a-bear in the afternoon. While he ran around the house in the 3-D glasses, I played the Spykids 3-D movie on the TV. Welford didn't have the attention span to watch the 3-D movie. However, the twins and Oscar were lured to the screen.
Our guests left after 11pm. The twins went to bed with no bed time story.
Sunday, Oct 24, 2004 (7y+2m+18d)
We woke up at around 10am because everyone went to bed late last night. Oscar and Sabrina went to the backyard to pick a lemon from our tree. They were amazed how big the lemon was, it was about 6 inches in diameter. She said she had never seen such a big lemon before. She wanted to take the lemon back to New York. She planned to serve lemon tea in the upcoming Halloween party to impress her whole family using .... one lemon. We picked several oranges from the garden. We also picked one Fuyu persimmon which was hanging over into our yard from next doors. We had a quick breakfast of fruit. We went to Koi Palace for lunch. We waited one hour for a table. Oscar insisted to pay for the lunch and they both said the wait was worthwhile because the good quality of the dim sum. After lunch, we drove across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito. We took another attempt at the Bay Model exhibit. To our disappointment again, we found out they were closed for Sunday though their website said they close on Monday. We returned to downtown Sausalito and spent over 100 minutes to stroll around art galleries and stores. On the way home, we zig-zagged on Lombard street. The twins remembered they had been on the crooked street before. We passed through Chinatown, Union Square and Masconi Center. When we passed the SONY Metreon and the Carousel, the twins recognized the place. Joanne told daddy later that she shed a tear when daddy didn't stop at the carousel. She asked daddy to take time sometime in the future.
We took US 101 on our way home. When daddy suggested Miyake for dinner, the twins cheered. Later when daddy said the Korean Tofu house, the new suggestion was met with an uproar. Though Oscar and Sabrina were interested to try Korean food, we had to stick with the old plan due to the twins' objection.
After dinner, we returned home. Our guests picked up their baggage and left for the airport. That ended their visit.
The twins took a shower and brushed their teeth before daddy read them half a Chapter of the Journey to the West. Today we read about the monkey king leaving his teacher and returned home.
Monday, Oct 25, 2004 (7y+2m+19d)
The twins went to school as usual. In the evening, when daddy asked them what they did today. Jasmine said they went to the park. Then Joanne jiggled, and Jasmine could not hold her laugh either. Then Jasmine confessed that she made up the story.
Tuesday, Oct 26, 2004 (7y+2m+20d)
The twins went to school as usual. They went to art class in late afternoon. Daddy picked them up after work on the way home. The twins whined and said they didn't like daddy's car. I told them to wait on the street and when I got home, I would send mommy to pick them up. Of course, they didn't want to wait on the street. They got in the car without daddy asking. They said daddy's car had a funny smell. Daddy blamed that on the food and drinks that the twins spilled in the car. After the twins brushed up before bed, mommy helped the twins to floss. Mommy found Joanne's front tooth was dangling. Mommy offered to take it off. Joanne cried even before mommy touched her tooth. But with just a light touch, the tooth fell off. Jasmine fetched the cheerleader's gears made for her stuffed animal. She got two tiny pompoms, and a tiny megaphone. She cheered for Joanne's tooth outside the bathroom.
Joanne said it was not painful, that meant she cried for no reason at all. She already had two fully grown front teeth behind the one that just fell off. The stubborn tooth was blocking the normal growth of the two new teeth. Now that it came off, we hoped the two new front teeth would move into the right place. Jasmine didn't have the same problem and her two front teeth looked normal. Joanne's front teeth point inward.
Wednesday, Oct 27, 2004 (7y+2m+21d)
The twins went to school as usual. They went to abacus and piano class in the afternoon. Today was the last abacus class for a while. Mommy didn't renew their abacus and art class. The money saved would be spent on a writing class instead. The twins was writing with very long sentence joined by many "and"s. Their math and art skills were pretty good now. They needed to do better in their writing skill.Aunt Elaine stopped by and dropped off two Halloween costumes for the twins. The twins have already bought the Cinderella and Snow White dress for Halloween. I didn't know what the twins would do with the extra costumes. It was like receiving an extra wedding gown as a gift on your wedding day. Should you wear it or throw it away???
There was a total eclipse tonight on the hunter's moon. There was some low clouds in the beginning. As the moon rose higher in the sky, the total eclipse was already over. We didn't see the blood red moon, we only saw a shadow covering half the moon.
Thursday, Oct 28, 2004 (7y+2m+22d)
The twins went to school as usual. They went to ice skating class in the afternoon. We went to dinner with Annette and Nicolas' family at the new Elephant Bar restaurant. We waited for 45 minutes to get a table because we had a big group. While waiting, I was surprised to see that Nicholas had grown a few inches since I last saw him. The twins went to bed later than usual. They were busy preparing the Halloween costume for the parade at school tomorrow. We canceled the bedtime story. The twins didn't mind.
Friday, Oct 29, 2004 (7y+2m+23d)
The twins went to school as usual. Mommy brought them the costume so that they could change after lunch for the costume parade. Jasmine wore her Cinderella costume. Joanne picked the pixie fairy costume from aunt Elaine.Daddy bought some books from the book fair at work. Daddy bought an art set and a book called "Draw really cool stuff". After dinner, the twins tried to follow the drawing instructions from the book. Joanne drew a camel. Jasmine drew a jaguar. Joanne said she didn't want to be an artist anymore because Jasmine drew better than she did.
Saturday, Oct 30, 2004 (7y+2m+24d)
The twins woke up and yelled "Disney On Ice". They put on their Cinderella and Snow White costume even before they brush their teeth. The show would not start until 3:30pm, yet the twins were all prepared for it. Since they were all dressed as princessed, we canceled our plan to go out for lunch. Mommy just prepared a quick lunch at home.Despite the twins being impatient to go to the show, we didn't leave the house until after 2pm. We arrived half an hour early and we bump into Yvonne and her family. It was their first time at Disney On Ice. We had watched different shows from Disney On Ice. We didn't plan to watch this one before Terence's family treated us to the show. Terence's family arrived a few minutes after the show started. The twins watched the show with special attention because they had taken some skating lessons. This time they not only watched the Disney characters, they also admired the skating skills of the performers. The show finished at 5:20pm.
We headed north right after we parted with Terence family. Great grandma's birthday dinner was set at 5:30pm. We couldn't make it on time, so we only planned to attend the party after the dinner. We stopped for a quick meal on the way. We joined the party at Ken's home after dinner. Great grandma cut the birthday cake and we all enjoy some ice cream and fruit. The twins played with cousin Matthew, Elias and Natalie. Ken set up several video games on the PlayStation. Jasmine played more games than Joanne. When Jasmine got better score than Joanne, Joanne lost interest in playing the games. Everyone got a turn to play the dancing step game and the Eye Toy Groove game. Even great grandma played. The party lasted past midnight. We were home after one. The twins took a nap in the car on our way home. We woke them up and mommy washed them up before sending them to bed.
Sunday, Oct 31, 2004 (7y+2m+25d)
The daylight saving time ended last night. It was Halloween. The twins did some homework in the morning. In the afternoon, daddy went out to do some shopping. Joanne wanted to follow. As the car was backed out of the garage, Jasmine ran out of the house to join us. The store that daddy went to was closed for Sunday. So we changed destination. The twins suggested Target. We agreed that we would just look, not buy. The twins spent quite a while in the toy department. Jasmine wanted to by a stuffed toy horse and a camera. Both were turned down. Joanne didn't even try because we agreed we were not there to buy anything. Daddy bought a bicycle bell for Joanne because hers had broken for quite a while. We took the twins to trick-or-treat at the shopping mall. We arrived there around 3pm. We took a late lunch. We rendezvoused with mommy's cousin Kay and her family. Mommy's cousin Ken called and said they would be 15 minute late. Megan wore the Ariel mermaid costume passed down from Jasmine. Alisa wore the Belle costume passed down from Joanne. Matthew wore a Spiderman outfit. The cousins went around the mall collecting candies and goodies. The mall was packed with a big crowd because this year's Halloween falls on a weekend. Mommy used to take them to trick or treating at the mall in past years. They could collect a full bag of candies with not much effort at all. This year, they only got one tenth of what they used to get before they were all wore out. Many stores hung a sign at the door saying no more candy was left. It took a long walk between each reaping. There were simply too many kids to dry up the supplies. Megan got tired early and her family left first. Alisa and Mathew didn't want to continue after a while. I asked the twins if they wanted to collect more candies, they said they had enough. So we just left.
As we drove into our own neighborhood, we saw many kids on the street doing trick or treating in the dark. I asked the twins if they wanted to do the same. They said no. They were used to getting candies in the mall. However, they enjoyed giving out candies at home and watching various monsters and globins come to them. As soon as we walked inside the house, the twins immediately set up the candy "station". They set up two chairs at the foyer next to the bowl of candies that mommy gave them. They didn't start until 7pm. Though they had missed the majority of the younger trick or treaters, the visitors continued to come until 9pm. The later visitors were mainly teenagers as tall as adults. Towards the end, Joanne lied down on the chair and yelled, "Somebody please ring the door bell!". Jasmine later fell asleep on her chair because too few people rang the door bell.
Monday, Nov 1, 2004 (7y+2m+26d)
The twins had no school today. It was a teacher-learning day. But I think it was just the school's excuse for a day off because of Halloween yesterday. The twins went to miniature golf with Nicholas and Annette's family. They continued with ice skating and visited the playground after Annette left for her piano class. Daddy joined them at Elephant Bar for dinner. The sky was dark early because of the daylight saving time ended a couple days ago. It was only 7:30pm when we returned home. The twins did homework, had a dictation test from mommy. practiced piano, took a shower before they spent the rest of the evening playing with each other.
Jasmine reminded daddy to vote for Kerry tomorrow because she didn't want any more war. I asked her where she got the idea, she said she didn't remember.
Tuesday, Nov 2, 2004 (7y+2m+27d)
The twins went to school as usual. Jasmine said her classmates talked about the presidential election. Her classmate said she voted for Bush. She asked whom Jasmine voted for. Jasmine told her Bush because she just wanted to please her. Joanne added that Bush would go to war again. Jasmine's classmate told everyone not to listen to Joanne. Though the kids might not know the real issues behind the election, but based on their limited knowledge alone, they did have some strong opinions. I told Jasmine that she should speak her mind, she should not follow what other people said. She explained she didn't want her classmate to know whom she really voted for.Joanne called daddy at work. She asked when daddy would be coming home. She said mommy had stopped signing up for their Tuesday art class. They wanted daddy to gave them art lessons instead.
After dinner, daddy taught them the principle of mixing primary colors. We used only three tubes of poster colors, red, yellow and blue. The exercise was to paint a color wheel by mixing colors to make different hue of green, orange and purple. Jasmine said daddy's color wheel was the prettiest because the colors were richer. Daddy explained that they added too much water and the colors were too washed out. Joanne said daddy was the best art teacher so far because the lesson was fun.
Wednesday, Nov 3, 2004 (7y+2m+28d)
The twins went to school as usual. They have piano class in the afternoon. They stopped going to the abacus class since last week. They had learned division which was way ahead of their math level at school.Joanne got a goodie bag from school because it was one of her classmate's birthday. She received a note pad. She used the notepad to write jokes that she learned from her classmates.
(Here was one she wrote verbatim including mis-spelling) There was 3 mens on a plane, One threw a apple One threw a lemon One threw a bomb, Then they were walking down the steet then they saw this boy crying and they said why are you crying, kid? and the boy said a apple fell from the sky and kill my dog", and tey keep walking and they saw a boy crying and they asked why your crying kid the kid said "a lemon fell fom the sky and it killed my cat, then they still keep walking and they saw a boy laghing and they asked why your laghing boy and he said "I farted and my house blew up.(she wrote another one) There was 3 people on a hill and the hill said you wish something you will get it in the bottom, so the first one said "I want ice cream" So got it on the bottom, then the second person said "I want candy!" then he got it on the botom, the last person wasn't paying atention and he said curagge another way to say poo and he got pooon the bottom.Daddy said, "I don't get it." Joanne said she didn't either. But she just wrote down what her classmate told her. Sounded like the kids were just repeating the stories without really understanding them. Jasmine told a joke too, but her joke was the same as Joanne's. Instead of throwing apple, lemon and bomb, her story threw banana, orange and cigarette. When I asked her how would the cigarette blow up the house, she said she didn't know. The funny thing was that they laughed at the jokes even they didn't understand them. They did homework after dinner. After shower, they checked their weight. Joanne weighed 44.5 lb.; Jasmine weighed 47.5 lb. We asked Joanne to explain why she is missing 3 pounds. Of course she didn't know. We told her to eat more. One theory I had was that Joanne had three front teeth some time ago and that interfered with her eating for awhile.
we continued bedtime story on the "Journey to the West".
Thursday, Nov 4, 2004 (7y+2m+29d)
The twins went to school as usual. They went to writing class in the afternoon. Mommy decide to stop renewing their ice skating lesson until they finish the writing course. It was too rush to go to the skating rink after the writing class. Besides the twins would not have much time to practice before the skating class. They still had two more lesson including today's.The twins did their writing homework after dinner. They went to bed at the usual time. Daddy continued with the "Journey to the west". Today we read about the Monday devouring the peaches from the heavenly orchard.
Friday, Nov 5, 2004 (7y+2m+30d)
