Generally refered to as the South African "Rubber Duck" to differentiate it from the 1930's factory racer that was exported to New Zealand early in it's life, this car is seen here in the paddock at Goodwood Festival of Speed 1997.

A very close inspection of the photos will reveal a jacked up left rear wheel being spun to crank the engine into life.

At left can be seen the supercharger dwarfing the motor, and supplying considerable addded horsepower.

So why the "Rubber Duck"?
Actually they were also known as "Dutch Clog" because of their appearance, however the former nickname was awarded by the drivers, as the body & scuttle tended to shake like a rubber duck.
