This mid thirties Austin 7 sports a distinctive "down under" Roadster body. Due to government legislation requiring a great deal of local input into motor vehicles, most cars were imported as rolling, running chassis. The Austin 7 was no exception, landing in Australia with just scuttle bonnet and radiator shell. Even these factory items were not required for a number of sports cars produced here
