Although the Austin 7 was built as the poor man's car, it has gained pedegree by way of it's decendents.

To the right a line of Swallow saloons basking in a glorious day at The Rover Heritage Museum, Gayden, UK 1997. As we all know the 7 was the basis of the first bodies built for autos by Swallow, who went on to become Jaguar.

A BMW Isle 800 also built on Austin 7 design, under lisence in Germany. Previously known as Dixi and bearing more resemblance to the English Austin.

One of the first to see the great potential of the small well designed car Gordon England produced a number of production bodies on the Seven chassis for sale to the public in addition to those he built for his own very sucessful racing career.
