Commentary: Happy Independence Day; and a belated Happy Canada Day! Fittingly, the No. 1 song comprises of both Americans and Canadians, the unchanged "The Grace" by the Never Ending White Lights featuring Dallas Green. The top five is mostly unchanged, with the only new add being The Wreckers' "Leave The Pieces" getting to No. 5 after debuting at nine two weeks ago. That song is really growing on me, as with more listens I'm realizing it was stronger than I thought it was.

The new adds are led by two "summer songs" in Miranda Lambert's ode to road tripping for fame in "New Strings" and Bon Jovi's re-entry onto the charts with "Welcome To Wherever You Are". Rounding out the new entries are Anonymous Twist's "Puttin' In Work" (which has an amazing beat) and Disturbed's spot-on cover of "Land Of Confusion". However, some new adds to the playlist do look to make noises later on- Matisyahu's "King Without A Crown" finally gets a kick at the can here after making big noises all over radio (plus, he's got a lot of potential), while KT Tunstall's catchy and summery "Suddenly I See" is the perfect follow-up to her smash "Black Horse And The Cherry Tree". Not to be outdone is Christian pop veteran Rebbeca St. James, whose anthemic "You Are Loved" just might land her on the mainstream pop charts that had eluded her to this day.

That's the chart. See you in two weeks.
