Commentary: A little administrative work: since the chart from two weeks ago wasn't uploaded, I uploaded it today along with this one.

Now, on to the chart proper. Most of the chart is still the same- the only big news in terms of songs already on the chart is Julez Santana's rise into the Top 10 with his bravado-induced "There It Go (The Whistle Song)"- but the new entries have made a splash. As you can see, there's a new number one, and like H.I.M. before it, Sean Paul's "Temperature" debuts at the top spot. Paul's songs have been easily the catchiest dancehall songs on record, and a stellar string of hits that includes "Get Busy" and "Ever Blazin'" affirms that, as well as this number. I've had it in my head for the past several weeks, so I couldn't ignore it now.

The other new entry is James Blunt's "You're Beautiful". That song came here by accident really- when I bought Sean Paul's "Trinity" at HMV they had it on special for "2 (CD's) for $30", which included Blunt's "Back To Bedlam". I'm not regretting that choice- listening to "You're Beautiful" more closely has revealed it to be the treasure of a song it is, and that's a beautiful pop ballad about a girl Blunt can't have (oh, and for the nitpickers who are going to say that "Blunt's British, he shouldn't be signing about a subway", note that "subway" in British English means an underpass, so the line still fits).

New to the playlist is Nickelback's second single, "Savin' Me", which follows in the reflective vein as "Photograph" did but as a desperate plea for help. It's a little more "poppy" than what we're used to from Nickelback, but it's still an extremely strong song and the boys give it enough gusto that it becomes their own. I'm also anticipating an acoustic version- stripped down, it would sound even more lovely. Look for it to chart in the coming weeks.

That's the chart. See you in two weeks.
