         Make Me a Lamb

Lord, I pray to you
Make me a lamb
Take my life as yours
Break me, mold me
Make me wholly thine.
Let me not wander
Far away
But let me stay
So close
As a lamb follows
Blindly the shepherd ahead.

Lead me, Father
To your altar
And pour me out upon it
May I be an offering
Poured out to you.
May I have no
Blemish or spot
And may I be an
Offering poured out
For the many who are lost

And so I pray
Make me a lamb
Lay me on your altar
May I die for others
May your knife pierce me
As your son was pierced
So others may see you in me.

Make me a lamb
Who dies to self
So you live
And I pray that
They may see my brokenness
And see you
And not me.

Lord, I pray, please
Make me a lamb.
             Beloved Trinity

Beloved Trinity, teach me your ways,
Reveal to me your grace and love
Show to me the glory,
the patience,
the gentlesness,
Of your three persons.

Beloved Father, help me see Justice,
Reveal to me the ways of your wrath
Show to me your grace and love
In your mercy,
In your constancy,
In your desire for all to know you.

Beloved Son, shape in me the cross,
Reveal to me the glories of sacrifice
Show to me your grace and love
In death,
In darkness,
In prayers for all your people.

Beloved Spirit, guide me in all truth,
Reveal to me your secret work
Show to me your grace and love
In your power,
In your habitation,
In the comfort only you can bring.

Beloved Trinity, teach me your ways
Reveal to me your intimate relationship
Show to me
all grace and love
That abounds on this earth
That your connection in three
May become four in me.
                            The Sparrow

Wings lift up,                                Then, the Master who carries,
Soaring on pinkish hue,                  The Master who lives,
Magnificent, glorious                     The one that gave it all,
Small made body                           Calls to the hollow one
Hollow to fly,                                Holding an open hand
Formed by the Master.                   Lifting his love with his eyes.

The Master who cares,                   And the sparrow,
The Master who watches,               it comes.
The one that sees it all,                    And the sparrow,
Looks at the hollow one                  it rests.
Holding it in his eye                        Safe in the Master's hand.
Lifting it with his hand.
                                                    The Master
Arms rise up,                                 Curls his hand
Curse at the sky,                            And the sparrow
Violent, Sinful                                Can never leave,
Human made body                          He comforts like
Hollow inside,                                 Boughs of a tree.
Angered at the Master.
                                                     For none can fall,
The Master who loves,                    For the Master will catch,
The Master who heals,                    For the Master will find,
The one that will give it all,              And the sparrow
Sees the hollow one                        Will forever rest
Holding out his arms                       In the hollow hole
Lifting the soul with his will.            Of the Master's hand.

Arms stretched out,
Cry to the sky,
Innocent, pained
Divine made body
Hollow with sin,
The salvation Master.
