Es fácil y cómodo trabajar con una lengua extranjera cuando utiliza Usted este modelo. Sólo entre unas letras de la palabra y el diccionario mostrará automáticamente las palabras correspondientes. Si no está Usted seguro en cuanto a la ortografía de la palabra, el corrector ortográfico Vector Ultima le permitirá entrar la palabra como la oye y escoger la versión de ortografía de la lista de variantes.
También tiene el organizador bilingüe de 128 KB con la agenda telefónica, horario y la función de seguridad por contraseña. El Universal Translator™ (Traductor Universal) UT-103 de Ectaco es un traductor accionado a voz provisto de un sistema exclusivo de reconocimiento del habla que permite traducciones de frases del inglés al francés, alemán y español. El UT-103 contiene 14 temáticas diferentes con las cuales interactuar, las cuales incluyen cerca de 3000 frases y expresiones que facilitan la comunicación en hoteles, oficinas de correo, bancos, locales comerciales, restaurantes, hospitales, salones de belleza y muchos otros lugares.
El sistema de reconocimiento del habla empleado fue creado en los EE.UU. utilizando a tal efecto las voces de 700 locutores norteamericanos nativos diferentes. Por esta razón, el usuario puede estar seguro de que su pronunciación será reconocida por el aparato.
El UT-103 cuenta con una confortable interfaz de usuario y es sencillo de operar. Un Action Button (Botón de Acciones) especial multifunción permite el fácil acceso a la sección del banco de frases que se necesite. La frase, una vez reconocida, es exhibida en la pantalla LCD. El UT-103 viene también provisto de auriculares que hacen más cómodo trabajar con él. El Universal Translator™ puede funcionar además como grabador digital de voz.
