DIVISION 2 (2nd level) 1952/53 A major change occured after this season. The whole of northern Sweden was
incorporated in the pyramid. This wasn't the case before. No teams north of
(roughly) the county Medelpad could be promoted to 3rd level (officially) or
beyond. (Even though there were series called division 3 Norrländska before
this, they had to promotion right to 2nd level before 1953/54). From 1953/54
the number of 2nd level series was altered to make room for the change. Three
groups, each representing the regional parts of Norrland, Svealand & Götaland
respectively, were formed. Norrland and Svealand were to have 10 teams each
