I go to add The Graduate and, you know what, it was already there...

I think of Greg's choice (Grand Hotel) and (for some reason) wonder why I've never seen it.
Also, A Woman is a Woman makes me wonder: What's my favorite Godard film? A: Band of Outsiders (runner up: his segment in The Seven Capital Sins).

I don't know where else to paste these meaningless numbers:
119 - 1998
115 - 1999
187 - 2000
167 - 2001
180 - 2002
136 - 2003

I wonder in the shower if Alien, a film I have the urge to watch nearly every day, is on the list. (And, of course, it is).

Nifty trivia moment: Stolen Kisses is the only entry that I've seen once.

I feel like there's a place for Ferris Bueller's Day Off. But you add that, then you're talking The Breakfast Club. (I'd gladly add both; Let's make it 22...)

i put them in alphabetical order and ponder on a 20 best albums list.

The Last Temptation of Christ nearly leaps onto the list. A film that can seem so profoundly fresh and moving as your revisit it in a new season of you life (did I just say that?) - and a film that's always been very near and dear to me (or that?) - probably deserves a place on or near this thing...If I had to pick Scorsese's #2 film - - this would be it.

I watch The Night of the Hunter, looking to steal homages for Weiland (or, The Transformation), a script I've just finished. I marvel almost into a stupor. (Also, after years of being less anal, I finally get organized and add the ", the" to the end of the title.)
