Senda del Oso
Tis route is a conglomerate road that takes advantage of the box of the coal railroad that united Proaza and Teverga with Trubia. It is specially thought for cycling and walking, reason why the circulation of motor vehicles is totally prohibited. Another detail to consider is that the cyclists can not exceed the 15 kilometros per hour. Therefore this it is not the suitable route for " forcing the machine ", since in addition to the limitation of speed it is necessary to consider that the layout is totally level. Nevertheless this route is ideal to enjoy a pleasant stroll in bicycle by one of the prettiest zones of Asturias. Another incentive is the posibility to see two bears, " Paca " and " Tola " that are in semifreedom in a fenced mount next to the footpath.
The route begins shortly after San Andres and finalizes in Teverga. There are altogether 22 kilometers, reason why it does not suppose any difficulty to make the route in both directions. In order to arrive until the beginning of the footpath from Oviedo it is necessary to take the road N-634 in the direction of Galicia and when arriving at Trubia to take the AS-228 in the direction of Proaza. It is not advisable to go in bicycle by N-634 since it is a route very journeyed and without border. A good alternative would be to take the train that goes from Oviedo to Trubia (as you know to take the bicycle with you in the FEVE neighborhoods is free) and once in Trubia to take the AS-228 until the beginning of the footpath.
