The Punters - Will You Wait (2000)

After a three year wait, The Punters are back at it with their latest release, "Will You Wait". (A rather ironic title when you think about it)

Although this CD has its share of rompin' stompin' drinking favorites, (Like "P Stands for Paddy") along with a great version of the Kinks "Come Dancing", it also has more folk based singer songwriter matterial than their previous two efforts. Not to worry fans, the familar Punters Sound is still there.

Larry Foley is emerging as one of the bright new stars on the Newfoundland music scene, as seen on "Will You Wait" which includes several original compositions by Foley, including "Rise With The Sun", "Getting Back", "Uneasy (Ill See You)", "Heres To Life" and the title track "Will You Wait".

The producers, Gary Moffet and Jeff Nystrom, did some fine work on this album. The Punters have a bright future ahead of them, although they need to be getting albums out a little quicker than one every three years!
