Jeff Greene - Time To Heal (2003)

There is a duality to the youth movement in Newfoundland Music. On one side you have the Irish Newfoundland traditionalist's and on the other you have a growing community of young singer songwriters who seem determined to operate outside traditional boundries. Jeff Greene is a good example of the latter. He is a very fine young singer/songwriter who'se style has drawn favorable comparisons with Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo.

Rarely in the local music environment will you find a young artist with the confidence and conviction of Jeff Greene. He is obviously a man who is not afraid to take the bull by the horns, which he shows with his first CD, "Time To Heal". A strong and impressive debute, on "Time To Heal" Jeff Greene is the Writer, the Musician (He plays several instruments), the Singer, and the Co-producer. He even did the graphic design! How's that for confidence in your abilities?

One listen to this CD will show you that his confidence is well founded. A lively and energetic collection of songs, "Time To Heal" is a debut album that any young singer/songwriter can be proud of, and the kind of starting point from which a great carreer can grow. Watch out for Jeff Greene, he will be a force in the Newfoundland Music Scene!
