Kathy Phippard - Premonition (2005)

The second album from the Newfoundland "Indie Femme" Pop songstress, "Premonition" is a unique collection of original works, that solidify Kathy Phippard as a strong talent with a bright future. With a sound that is heavilly influenced by the pop scene's of cities like Montreal and Toronto, yet maintaining her connection with small town Newfoundland, this album has a fresh and honest approach.

Beyond her voice (which is dam fine) Kathy is also a very tallented songwriter, who can craft a catchy tune, or an honest lyric, with the best of them. Produced by Keith Power, this album bristles with Kathy's fiercly independant nature, her passionate heart, and ear for detail.

"Miss Duality", which placed second in the Billboard International Song Contest, and "Guilty", which was chosen as semi-finalist in ISC 2003, are fine examples of the songwriters art and brilliant examples of Kathy's potential and talent as a singer songwriter.

This album is not a premonition of Kathy Phippards talent, it is proof positive! Bravo Kathy!
