Frank Zappa - Over-nite Sensation (1973)

After his previous album (Just Another Band From L.A.) I wasn't really sure what to expect with this one. Zappa, besides being a musical genius, is in possession of one of the great wit's of our time. No one, it seems, is safe from Zappa's acid tongue and political consiousness.

No Taboo is beyond his capacity for outrage.

Frank Zappa is anything but an Over-nite Sensation! He has payed his dues, and distinguished himself as one of the hardest working men in Rock and Roll today. But beyond that, he is taking Rock n Roll to another level. Shaking off the dust of conformity, shattering the shackles of convention, and breathing new life into a music form that has become stagnant, caught up in it's own self importance.

Plain and simply put, Zappa is a visionary.
