Many people will lament all the things that are wrong in the music industry, but here I will celebrate one of the things that's right with it! Ever since I first heard her music I have said that Jann Arden is one of the finest songwriters in the world today. For me, this CD is undeniable proof of that.
Any of Jann's CD's are great individually, but when you take the best of all those combined, then you know you are onto something special. The current pop music environment seems to be populated with artists that lapse into mindlessness with distressing easy, and yet, in that environment thrives an energetic and honest artist that's not afraid to express real emotion in her music. Jann Arden's music is a breath of fresh air when we need it most. She has an open sincerity, and honesty, that streams from her heart to ours, via her music.
Beyond her incredible talent as a writer, Jann Arden is also in possession of one of the best voices in the business. With that, she has an on stage manor that makes her live show an event, more than just a concert.
