Trooper - Hot Shots (1988)

There are certain albums that every Canadian music fan has in his or her collection. Music and artists that are so familiar as to be part of our national identity. This is just such an album.

As recording artists and a touring band, Trooper dominated the Canadian music scene for over a decade with a highly commercial mixture of hard driving rock, inspired power ballads, and bright airy harmonies, all built on the brilliant song writing tandem of Ra MaGuire and Brian Smith. The sum total of the greatest recordings from their hayday as Canada's top selling music act can be found on this CD.

You cannot be a fan of Canadian Music and not have a copy of this CD. The music is brilliant, from a hard core rocker like "Raise a Little Hell" to the wimsical melodic "Santa Maria" to the tender charm of "Oh Pretty Lady", Trooper were a band with incredible depth of charater in their music.

They didn't get to the top by accident, or mistake. Trooper are a phenominon in Canada, and this a must have album in your collection.
