Blackie & The Rodeo Kings - Bark (2003)

What do you get when you take three talented singer/songwriters, each with his own brand of unlimited energy, and put them in a studio together? (OK... I admit that's a pretty broad question) In the case of Colin Linden, Stephen Fearing and Tom Wilson, (A-K-A Blackie & The Rodeo Kings)you get one of Canada's hottest new albums, by one of Canada's best bands.

Don't get me wrong... this isn't and isolated incident. Success is nothing new for these guys. Their 1999 CD 'Kings of Love' won the 2000 Juno Award for Best Roots & Traditional Album, plus all three members have enjoyed successful award winning solo careers.

But Bark is something Special! Right from the first cut, "Swinging from the Chains of Love", this album grabs you by the arm and say's "Come with me... I will show you something you've never seen before."

You can close your eye's, as long as you open your ears, and partake a 14 course musical feast unlike anything you've ever heard. Forget everything you think you know about blues, country or any other neat little written in stone category that you might want to put on this CD. It defies Categorization!

It Rocks, it Rolls, it pulls at your heart stings while it kicks your ass. Get BARK, and get ready to be amazed!
