Paul Thorn - Ain't Love Strange (2000)

As soon as I heard this CD for the first time, I thought 'Now here's a singer/songwriter with a pedegree!' Former Pro Boxer Paul Thorn hung up his gloves, picked up his guitar and traded right hooks, for finger pickin' licks. There is a rare breed of songwriter in this world, that have such a wonderful grasp of life, that their music cannot help but command your attention.

Paul Thorn is just that kind of Songwriter, as wittnessed by this album. Wether it's his whimsical musings on the strange nature of love, or his recipe for "Blue Stew", or the touching reality of "I Have a Good Day", Paul Thorn hit's the nail on the head... if you'll pardon the pun.

This man is talented. With all due respect to the Hollywood hit makers, I would rank Paul Thorn as one of the best new songwriters of the last 5 years.

Don't believe me? Pick up a copy of "Ain't Love Strange" and find out for yourself!
