In round 3 of the Businessmen’s Chess League action at
School Street on Wednesday, Dexter’s Service Center
bumped Dr. Laroche out of first place by half a point.
Dr. Laroche and Smith’s Awards & Trophies
are tied for second in the varsity section.
Smith’s Watch & Clock Repair moved up to first in the junior
varsity division. Lang Surveying is
a half a point behind in second with 7.5 game points.
Tasta Pizza and Hamlin bank are one point back with 6.5 points.
In the JV division, top-ranked Christopher Borland (Smith’s
Watch & Clock Repair) has advanced to first place.
Angel Achar (Lang Surveying) holds
second, while third place is shared by Caroline Douglas (Gravitz &
Associates) and Matthew Graffius (Dr. Allison).
Bob Ferguson, captain for Northwest
Savings Bank, resigned to Greg Henry (Dexter’s
Service Center) to place Henry in undisputed first place.
Ryan Ferguson, captain of Smith’s Awards & Trophies, is in second
place just half a point behind Henry. The
two will face off in the next round.
