She saw him the first week of April,
He seemed quite good looking and sweet.
He smiled at her when she saw him in town,
She dreamed they would finally meet.
She slowly found out more about him,
That everyone liked him on sight.
He worked hard at the animal shelter,
So he had to study all night.
She saw he was fun and outgoing,
To his friends he was loyal and kind.
He made people laugh whenever he spoke,
His taste was always refined.
He had impeccable dress sense,
And was clever and charming as well.
Her friends all said she wasnt herself,
She was truly under his spell.
She disliked nothing about him,
Love had struck her blind.
She couldnt eat or work or sleep,
Just dreamt and thought and pined.
All she thought about was him,
And love songs made her smile.
She wrote him poems in the dead of night,
Sleep was not worthwhile.
He held the door for old ladies,
He gave his loose change to the poor,
And if he saw someone drop their bag,
Hed help pick it up from the floor.
She finally plucked up the courage,
To go over and say hello.
"Its great to finally meet you" he said,
And this is my boyfriend Joe."
