The wayfaring raindrop alights
In the desert of her desolation,
Where she longs for the thunderstorm
Or the dissolving tears of God.
The raindrop, of little comfort,
Silently keeps the vigil...
The true miracle will manifest
As neither storm nor tears,
But the snow angel's realization
That the fiery desert is only a mirage.
The snow angel laughs
As one who has never known sorrow,
Lifting the heart of
The patron saint of solitude.
Basking in moonlight, he wonders:
Do angels need guardian angels?
Dispelling darkness,
Enveloping consciousness,
Moonlit snow angel.
We were from different worlds
Brought together by the strangest of luck
I should have walked away
But I had to know if it was fate
She is young, innocent, full of life
Beautiful, intelligent, compassionate
I am not accustomed to such company
So I started to turn away
But I caught a glimpse of her eyes
And thought I noticed uncertainty
Perhaps she is the one after all
The one I've been searching for all these years
We talked as if we were old friends
She charmed me with her eyes
I forgot my mission, my duty
All I could think of was being with her
My feelings for her grew each day
As I realized how perfect she is
But then my folly dawned on me
She was not the one for me
My mere presence tainted her perfection
As my spirit was impure
Reluctantly, I bade her farewell
And prayed that I had done little harm
For I am a fallen angel
Corruptor of everything I touch
The damage is unintentional
But the responsibility is still mine
My clipped wings can be healed
And I can return to a state of grace
But I cannot do this alone
I need the miracle of love
So I now continue my search
For the one who needs my love
She is another fallen angel
And together, we will both learn to fly again
