With the crowd at the 2002 Grey Cup hitting 62,531, it marked the first time in CFL history that back-to-back Grey Cups exceeded crowds of 60,000.

2001 in Montreal saw 65,255 attend the game, making it the second-highest of all time. Only 6 times in CFL history has the crowd been in excess of 60,000 and of the 6 crowds over this mark, three have been played in Montreal and the other three have been played in Edmonton.

The 2002 crowd ranks at number 4 on the all-time list and was the highest attended of the three games played in Edmonton.
