Cerebus #163:
Immediately after Cerebus #162.
Punisheroach is crushed to learn that the woman of his dreams has a boyfriend.
Astoria prepares for her appointment with Cirin.
Also, Red Sophia and Mrs. Henrot-Gutch on the Iestan equivalent of "Oprah".

Cerebus #164:
Having mysteriously returned into his own reality, Cerebus falls through a skylight in time for tea with an old woman who has important information for him regarding, amongst other things, the truth about Cirin's identity (Cerebus #194).
Roach & Elrod are thrust into their latest incarnations: Swoon and Snuff.

Cerebus #165:
Cerebus makes his escape to a bar since bars are off limits to women (including Cirin's forces).
Swoon begins Snuff's semi-automatic crossbow training with encouraging results.
Mysterious events effect the Judge, Suentus Po, and Cirin's forge.
Cirin and her advisors discuss Cerebus' political and theological alignment without agreement.
The public of Iest begins whispering among themselves.

Cerebus #166:
While in the safe-haven of the pub, Cerebus begins sleep walking up to the roof while under the watchful eye of Cirin's troops. Amid telepathic interference being provided by an unknown party, Cerebus raises his doll and sword above his head; simulataneously, the black tower surrounding the Upper City begins to grow once again.

Cerebus #167:
As the new growth of the black tower collapses, Astoria's carriage enters the Upper City. The crowds begin to riot at her arrival, and Astoria is freed and secreted away.
In the Lower City, Swoon explains more about his family, The Clueless; Swoon (Roach), Snuff (Elrod), Sleaze (Astoria), Sulk (Mrs. Henrot-Gutch), Spacey (the Judge), and the rest.
Cerebus also has a rather paternal conversation with the Elf and learns more about the "imposter Elf".

Cerebus #168:
Astoria awakens to find herself amongst her followers. Sensing no "urgency", she returns to sleep.
Cirin was wounded when the falling tower crushed the Regency Hotel, and that while unconcious, she's spending time in "Swoon Country".

Cerebus #169:
In "Swoon Country", Cirin and Astoria "have at it', resulting in the mysterious injury of Cirin's real body.
Swoon comes face to face with his angry sister, Sulk.
Cerebus and Astoria share a craving for scotch.

Cerebus #170:
Cirin and Astoria seem to share a bond of closeness-in-mind, somehow bound in Swoon Country. There are many mentions of the strengths and weaknesses of Cirin's regieme, accentuated by Greer's execution for agreeing with Cirin about a particular weakness.
Swoon runs into his big sister, Sleaze.
Cerebus becomes the life of his own little party.

Cerebus #171:
As a mysterious robed figure makes it's way through the city, Cirin regains composure and control.
Cerebus has delusions including a dream with Astoria, and both his past and future selves.

Cerebus #172:
Events draw closer as Cirin addresses the general public, Astoria prepares her forces, the robed figure gets further into the Upper City.
Swoon remembers what he's been distracted from; 4 very different people, but it all spells Ascension, and events continue to draw them towards each other. But what's Cerebus doing? All this and a fiesty squirrel bartender.

Cerebus #173:
Swoon tries to maintain control of his "power".
Astoria leaves her army and the safety of her headquarters
Cirin pours her gold sphere.
Cerebus starts to fly towards the tower (which has begun to grow yet again).
Roach splits into 36 personalities simultaneously.

Cerebus #174:
Roach splits into another 37 personalities.
As Cirin gives the order to kill Astoria on charges of sorcery, Astoria tells the soldiers to dissappear, and they do.
Cerebus levels the growing tower again, this time by flying through it.
The robed figure, Astoria, and Cerebus meet on the steps of the cathedral where Cirin has set up office. The identity of the robed figure is Suenteus Po, appearing "in the flesh" for the first time.
