Ireland's flag
Ulster Autnomous Goverment
The Irish Tricolor is the official flag of the Poblacht na hireann (Republic of Ireland). It was made to represent all Irish Peoples regardless of their religion.
Green stands for Irish Catholics.
Orange stands for Irish  Protestants.
White stands for Peace between the two.
The Union Jack was made the sole offcial flag of Northern Ireland (Tuaisceart ireann) after the abolition of the Stormont Assambly in 1973. However the Red Hand Flag is still widely used in the Six Counties.
The Historical Province of Ulster, which included three more counties, used the flag shown below. Note how, in orther to make it more "British" the yellow field was changed to white (thus resembling England's St George's Cross) and a royal crown was added. The six points star stands for the Six Ulster Counties that wished to remain under British Rule.
