One of the characteristics of the OOAK is that they don't lose value
being deboxed. In this way, we can enjoy a lot  the dolls, playing, positioning and
seeing them from all perspectives.

However, although the box is discarded later, it is an important detail of
presentation that donates quality and good taste to the doll, and so to the artist's work.

The boxes for dolls can be bought in special stores, or through the
internet, or they can be improvised with gift boxes or other types of
boxes adapted to the doll's size, or can simply be elaborated using our imagination.
There are a variety of boxes that can be created. Here is a very simple one.

Box with Transparent Window

 Materials

- Three flexible (but not too fine) cardboard sheets (48 x 68 Cm)
(I said three, but it depends on the cardboard sheet size)
-  a  transparent sheet for the window (I use the transparent sheet A4
    for Xerox copies)
- X-acto knife or scissors
- Pencil, Ruler
- Glue for paper / cardboard
- Paints or Stickers to decorate.

Scale Model

There are three covers, one is for the front cover with the transparent window,
the second is for the back side, and the third is for the box liner where the doll is attached and positioned.
(The measurements are in centimeters)

Here is a design of what you have to draw in the posterior side of the cardboard sheets.
You have to cut the outside lines with an X-acto knife or scissors,  blend the internal lines,
and glue them. Then in the front cover, design the form that you want for the Window,
cut and paste the clear sheet.

FRONT COVER WITH WINDOW

BACK COVER

The form is the same like the front cover , the only diference is  that the
Width and Height measurements have to be half centimeter minus.

BOX LINER

Don´t forget to do the holes to introduce the wires to support the doll.

BEFORE ELABORATING THE BOX,  keep in mind the doll´s measurements
with the hairstyle and the width of the gown!!

The final touch is the decoration of the box. That is the work of your imagination.
You can use paints to write the doll name or your logo, or you can use stickers
to coincide with theme of the doll. There are infinite possibilities!

GOOD WORK and
HAPPY CUSTOMIZING!!
