According to the provisions of his father's will, and later arrangements with the mother and other heirs, Eliezer Churchill came into possession of that part of the original Churchill homestead with contained the "Old House." To this land was added a strip thirty feet wide lying next to Branch Blackmer, by grant of town, 1709. . . "
