Wallace Sessions

Per news article Lyons City Advocate:

"We regret to learn that a little son of H. G. Sessions of Comanche, in this county [Clinton] (and formerly of Erie, Pa,) was burned so badly by his clothes taking fire from being hit by a fire ball on the evening of the 4th inst., that he died on the next Friday.

He was in the midst of a large crowd who were engaged in throwing fireballs, when he was hit by one of the flaming missiles which set his clothes, of light summer stuff, on fire. He ran screaming towards home, and several moments elapsed before he could be overtaken and the fire extinguished. From his belt up to his face, with the exception of a little spot along the spine, the skin was burned off.

He was a bright little lad of eight or nine summers, one of two twins, so near alike that they could scarcely be told apart. The blow falls with crushing effect upon the afflicted parents and family, and we in common with the whole community, sincerely sympathize with them in their terriblebereavement."
