Middleburu College; Middlebury, Addison, VT; Biography: " Mead, Albert W., Ferrisburgh, North Ferrisburgh p. o., was born in Ferrisburgh, Vt. He is one of the prominent farmers of his town, and owns in addition to the old homestead farm of 150 acres, 200 more acres of very fine land. He was a son of Albert W. and Phebe (Eaton) Mead. She was born in Monkton, Vt., and died, leaving two daughters and one son -- Olive E., Albert W., and Urania. Albert Mead, sr., was married three times. His first wife was Naomi Bartlett, by whom he had seven children -- Sarah (now Mrs. Sarah B. Cronk) and Abram. His second wife was Phebe Eaton, by whom he had three children, and his third wife was Betsey Putnam. He was in early life a blacksmith and manufacturer of farm tools, having a trip-hammer, and employing several hands. He also carried on a farm on which he settled in 1792, where he died in 1859, aged eighty-seven years."

Reedsburg, Wis.; he was born in Neosho, Dodge Co., Wis., Jan. 13, 1851, where he lived until he was 14 years of age, when he went to Iowa, and spent one year, in July, 1866, he settled, with his parnet, on his present location, a farm of 35 acres; his father, S. Dearborn lives now in Braboo, Wis. Aug. 23, 1874, Mr. L. Dearborn married Miss Hattie D. Knapp, who was born Sept. 14, 1854, in New York, hear Danby; they have two children - Mary Ella, born may 15, 1877, and Merritt Stillman, born, jan. 23, 1880; Mr. and Mrs. D. belong to the Methodist Episcopal; in politics, Mr. D. is a Republican."
