Grace R. McGregor, the daughter of James Henry McGregor and JennieMatilda (Christensen) McGregor, was born November 9, 1914, in Armstrong,Iowa and passed away Sunday, November 18, 2001, at the Good SamaritanCenter in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 87 years and nine days.
Grace grew up in the Armstrong and Seneca area and received her educationin the rural schools. On October 10, 1936, Grace was united in marriageto Raymond E. Gardner. Following their marriage, they farmed near Fentonand south of Swea City. They lived on the Gardner Century Farm from 1958until 1988 and then moved into Swea City. Grace worked at Kennedy'sDepartment Store in Bancroft, Iowa for many years. Mr. Gardner passedaway on January 9, 1996.
