Mary, had Judith, b. 30 Sept. 1651; Mary, 21 Jan. 1653; Nathaniel, 4 Dec. 1655; Elizabeth 6 Mar. 1658; Jonathan, 2 Feb. 1663; and Joseph, 1 May 1672. His w. d. 18 Mar. 1701, and ╥old Robert╙ d. 10 Sept. 1706. Farmer assum. that he might be the ancest. of Gov. Benjamin, a native of Chelmsford, assigning, in a way not common with that scrupul. antiquary, as a reason, that the Chelmsford Pierces were from Woburn."

"JOHN, Charlestown 1653, s. of John, a cooper, was prob. b. in Eng. m. 25 Apr. 1654, Ruhamah Johnson, had Ruhamah, b. 29 Jan. 1655, d. at two wks.; Elizabeth 3 June 1656; John, 4 Nov. 1657; Ruhamah, again, 16 Feb. 1659; and Abigail, bapt. 25 Nov. 1660; but I kn. not, whether he had others of sec. or third w. tho. it seems prob. In the ch. rec. of adm. 1667, Abigail K. is call. d. of sis. Stower's, and that may indicate, but not exclusive. a maiden; for "goodman John K." comes in few mos. aft.; and on 23 Sept. 1677 is found" Mary K. the w. of our br. John K. He m. 19 Dec. 1678, wid. Mary Clements, as fourth w. and she d. 12 [[vol. 3, p. 37]] July 1682, and, again, "9 Jan. 1680, Mary K. w. of our br. John K." and finally, "9 Mar. 1684, Sarah K. w. of our br. John K. by dism. from Boston first ch." as Budington's valua. list, pp. 248, 9 and 50 show. So that we might take the last two, or even three to belong to John the younger and leave eno. But five ws. this man had. From the will of ano. John of Charlestown, no doubt his f. made 14 Feb. 1673, of wh. we see not the day of pro. but find the inv. of 1 June 1674, we find no other relat. nam. but Elizabeth and Abigail, ds. of his s. John, s.-in-law Robert Peirce of Woburn, and the w. his own d. Mary, and makes overseer, his friend and br. (but this means only, I judge, the ch. relationsh.) John Chickering wh. was the physician. For his third w. this John of C. took, 22 June 1668, Mary Bridge, wh. d. Oct. 1678. In spite of his five ws. he liv. to ripe age, for in 1679 he was call. 46 yrs. old, and his fourth w. 52; and his will, made 28 Nov. 1701, was pro. 13 Dec. 1714."
