"Chicago Tribune Obituary:
" Mrs. Laura Amanda Harvey, aged 63 years, died at the residence of her son H. F. Harvey on N. Ashland Ave. Sunday October 7, 1900. Mrs. Harvey has always lived in Chicago, residing on the West Side several years before coming to live with her son here. She had been ill over five weeks, and during the latter portion of the time was almost constantly attended by her two (and only) sons, H. F. Harvey and E. T. Harvey, the latter of Salt Lake City, Utah. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, under the direction of Rev. Wm. Evans of the First Congregational Church. Interment at Forest Home [cemetery]."."

A recent issue of the Chicago Tribune contains the information that Mrs. Laura Amanda, wife of Squire T. Harvey, died at the home of her son, Harry F. Harvey, 4241 North Ashland Avenue, in that city on Sunday last. The funeral took place on Tuesday at Chicago, and the burial was in Forest Home Cemetery in that city. Mrs. Harvey was a former Erie girl, her maiden name having been Sessions. Both she and her husband were well known in Erie, and the southern part of the county [Erie County], especially in the vicinity of Lundy's Lane, and were relatives of Powells
who are prosperous and well-to-do people in that section."."
