""Henry E.C. Wager, Henry Edward Carl Wager, 72 died Saturday at his residence 1401 High Street, after three weeks' illness. Mr. Wager was a lifelong resident of this county and a retired farmer, He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. Surviving are his widow, Mayme, two sons,Herman of Council Bluffs and Wade of Persia; five daughters, Mrs. LillieHarris, Mrs. Gladys Stallard, Mrs. Opel Snyder and Mrs. Dora Mae Tallman, all of Council Bluffs and Mrs Catherine Doty of Weston and 17 grandchildren. Funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church withe the Rev. G. W. Lobeck officiating. Burial will be in Crescent cemetery. The body is at Woodring's funeral home."."

Born at Crescent, she resided many years on a farm west of there. She had resided in Council Bluffs 25 years. Mrs. Wager was the widow of Henry Wager who died 12 years ago. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Survivors include: Five daughters, Mrs. Lillie Harris, Mrs Gladys Stallard, Mrs. Dora Scott, all of Council Bluffs, Mrs Opal Snyder of Omaha, Mrs Catherine of Weston; two sons, Herman, Council Bluffs, and Wade of Persia. Five Sisters, Mrs Maude Foster, Mrs Stella Foster, MrsLillie Brayman, Mrs Iva Bates, Mrs Louella Lewis, all of Council Bluffs: three brothers William, Dwight, and Clifford Miller all of Council Bluffs; 24 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. Meyers Funeral Home is in charge."
