Emilie A. Gentine (nee Igl), 92, born to this life June 22, 1911, was born to eternal life Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at LindenGrove in Waukesha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1966.
She is survived by her loving children, Barbara (Robert) Barton of Waukesha and Tom of Milwaukee; her dear grandchildren, Joel Gentine and Jim (Meg) Gentine, both of Milwaukee, Paula (Charles) Lamkin of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jennifer (Paul) Buehler of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and four adoring great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass today, Oct. 8, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A private entombment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery.

"SHAWANO EVENING LEADER Wednesday, July 1, 1970 MRS. R. DAMRAU, 87, RURAL BOWLER DIES THIS A.M. Mrs. Richard (Katie) Damrau, 87, of route 1, Bowler, died this morning Wednesday, July 1, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Damrau, the former Katie Markus, was born Nov. 15, 1882 in Budapest, Hungary. She came to the U.S. when she was 20 years old settling in St. Louis, After her marriage to John Gara she moved to this area. Mr. Gara died Dec. 26, 1924. On Feb. 15, 1930 she married Richard Dararau at Bowler. Survivors include her husband, one daughter and two sons, Margaret, Mrs. Prank Igl of Antigo and John of Oshkosh and Ervin of Dayton, Ohio. Other survivors are 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death."
