" Irvin Isadore Igl, Antigo, died Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center. He was 86 years old.
He was born Sept. 6, 1918, in the town of Antigo, a son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Maier) Igl.
On May 15, 1941, he married Caroline Fleischman at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo. She preceded him in death on March 1, 1989.
Mr. Igl and his wife farmed in the town of Antigo until 1967 when they moved to the city of Antigo. He was employed at the Vulcan Corporation until his retirement.
A member of St. John Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, he enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn (Jerry) Krause, Wausau, Mary (Paul) Depuydt, St. Claire, Minn., and Karen (Patrick) Heaviside, Ft. Bragg, Calif., three sons, Larry (Cindy) Igl, Aberdeen, S.D., Dale Igl, Antigo, and Richard (Ann) Igl, Oregon, 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a son-in-law Robert Markgraf, Antigo.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Igl was preceded in death by two sons, James and Daniel, a daughter, Barbara Markgraf, a sister, Mae Schroeder, and seven brothers, William, John, Michael, Herman, Frank, Joseph and his twin, Henry.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church. Rev. Charles Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation, including a 4 p.m. parish wake service, will be Monday from 3:30 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home."
