A Remembrance to my Daughter, Dawn
On the Fourth Anniversary of her Death

Four Years - IMAGINE

"Time Heals All Wounds"…..or so the saying goes.

For all parents who have lost children, this statement does not apply. It is hard to put into words the agony I have suffered since August 13, 1997, but let me try by asking you to

IMAGINE…

· Waking up each morning and having the nightmare of losing your child on your mind
· Shopping at Christmas and not being able to buy your child that special gift
· Placing fresh cut flowers next to your child's picture each week, because you are unable to send them
· Kissing a picture of your child goodnight as a tear falls on the cold frame
· Still waiting for the phone to ring and hear your child's voice
· Reliving your last visit with your child over and over and over again in your mind
· Only seeing your beautiful grandchildren once a year - How sad this would make Dawn
· Having your life consumed with keeping your child's memory alive
· Planting a rose in your garden in your child's memory
· Missing the sound of laughter and the sparkle in her eye
· Clutching pictures that have now caused time to stand still for four years

Imagine… · Going to bed each night with tears in your eyes.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing that I can say here that would even come close to describing the pain that lingers in my heart. Words cannot express the sadness I feel by the loss of my daughter. There is one hope, and one hope only….

And what a wonderful tomorrow that will be.
