What is Joey Simulator?

Joey Simulator is a web application that allows you to simulate the life of the humble Joey Sigmalia Kilsman
It can be described as a game but describing it as a game will lower your entertainment value of Joey Simulator
In Joey Simulator you click the highlighted text to take actions that affect Joey's life
There are various outcomes and challenges you can discover by playing
Joey Simulator keeps track of 'achievements' for you, so you can see how far you've come

Joey Simulator is much like life, and life is often not fun, so the Joey Simulator is often not fun
But like life the joys of the Joey Simulator come from experiencing new fun things and ignoring the monotony
Many days will be the same, but once in a while, when you try something new, something will be different

If it's not a game, why does it have achievements?

Good question figment of my imagination
Simply put it is nothing more than engagement bait to make Joey Simulator have a goal
But really achievements is just a convenient name, it is really more of a checklist to see how much you've seen
That's the real goal here, to experience as much as possible, having all the achievements means you experienced it all
Or well, close to all, I'm sure there's little bits that subtly change when you approach things differently even if you have all of the achievements

The visuals look like shit

If the visuals look bad it is likely due to the fact the page uses nearest neighbor rendering for images
If your display isn't exactly 1080p at default scaling in Windows using a chromium browser, things may look off
I simply don't have every display technology and hardware configuration available to me
To help fix these issues you can do the following until the image here looks like a consistent checkerboard pattern or the best it can

How to try and fix the visuals if they look off:
Change the zoom on your browser
Try a different browser
Check your UI scaling settings
Force your display to display in 1080p
Still not looking okay? Press this button to (To undo this you will need to reload the page)
If character portraits are making text unreadable click this button to
Or simply deal with it

I am stuck

During development the only softlock in the game to be found takes longer than you or I have left on this earth to encounter, so it is unlikely you are well and truly stuck
Although you may feel like you are making no progress or have been cycling the same area for a while
Know that there is always an ending you can reach from any position at all times, even if it is one you have already encountered
Just keep going and you will find it if you don't already know how to get one

What are the buttons in the top right?

The buttons on the top right serve a couple of uses, the rightmost button you should know what it does for you clicked on it to get here
The middle button brings you to the achievements window, where you can see what achievements you have collected so far
Do note clicking it now will make it appear behind this window
The leftmost button is the sound controls, < means music and sound effects will play, = means only sound effects will play, - mutes music and sound effects heard when clicking

How can I save my progress

In the achievements window you can click the save progress button, if there is no save progress button you have not made progress yet
Clicking it gives you a base64 string to copy to a safe location for later
Upon opening this page again you can go to the achievements window and click the load progress button
There you can simply paste in your save string and load your progress
