>>>>>Big Deal is one of the newer retail skate shops in Arizona. However, they've been around a lot longer than you may think.>>>>

The recent growth of skateboarding in Arizona over the past few years has resulted in the completion of many skateboard facilities, as well as a boom in the amount of retailers who specialize in the skateboarding biz. A lot of shops have come and gone, but over the past six years, Big Deal has remained a part of Arizona skateboarding.

In 1995, Joe Dunnigan and Mike Snyder, with the assistance of a few others, launched Big Deal as web-based provider of skateboarding and snowboarding goods. Because a lot of the distributors would not sell to an internet-only retailer, Dunnigan and Snyder, along with two additional partners, Trent and Ed Cox, opened Phoenix's well-established Cowtown Skateboards in 1997

Cowtown did, and still continues to flourish. However, the Big Deal boys decided to take things a bit further. With the sudden absence of Arizona's long-time running skate shop AZP, Big Deal occupied AZP's former Flagstaff space and opened up their first physical retail store in fall of 2000.
